Passionate Endurance Athlete
"Inspiration... Passing It Forward"
I’ve always believed that it’s important to pursue things in life you’re passionate about. For many years in my adult life, my passion was mainly about my work, with few other things on the side.
But life has since taken me on another path.
Hi, I’m Mitch Vanhille - @triathlonbeast, 42 years of age and you can say I am a late-blooming age-group endurance athlete. Originally from Belgium, I’ve moved out to Asia since 2010 – having lived in China, Taiwan (where my endurance journey started in 2014!), Singapore and currently back home in Belgium
My corporate career is still very important to me (something has to pay the bills and you better be passionate about this as well), but life has presented me with some challenges, let's call them opportunities.
Not realizing this at first, this lit a passion for endurance sports (such as Ironman triathlons and ultra-trail running).
Coaching athletes and passing it forward has become another passion along my journey.
And I just want to say that life throws up lots of intersections along the way, but at every crossroads,
YOU have a choice to make.
I’ve made mine!
The principle behind my ODYSSEY is simple
– “Set a goal so big you can't achieve, until you grow into the person who can.” -
Think of the person you want to be in 10 years, both in life and as an athlete, and start working towards it now.
Through this humble abode of mine, I hope to share what I’ve learnt and keep learning;
I’m merely Passing It Forward. Enjoy!
