Fasttrack “Hack” to
YOUR Adidas Discount

Picture

- Make your mileage work for YOU -

We all like our discounts, don’t we?
I'm happy to share how anyone who has an active lifestyle and/or needs that final nudge to master one, can obtain some good discount from Adidas

Before you continue, I would like to mention that I have no connection with Adidas and receive no benefits from this write up.
My motivation purely in sharing benefits to my fellow athletes.
This ‘hack’ might have been here for ages, yet having a slow brain, #betterlatethannever, I finally realized this and would love to share this with you.

Most endurance athletes collect and share their data with online platforms such as Garmin, Apple, Polar, Trainingpeaks, Strava, etc. And some of us might be connected with Nike+ or Adidas Runtastic.

Don’t most of us have the mindset of…
“I’ll work out for free, yet if there’s a discount, I’ll take it”
Well, here’s your chance to ‘take it’. Any maybe it's another motivation to make those easy runs count.

I’d like to share how you can make your daily training and mileage count and obtain 20%, 25% or even 30% discount on your Adidas purchases. Or you might be more interested in a free 1 year membership of ‘training by runtastic’ by Adidas.
Especially if you’re a triathlete/cyclist, your long hours on the bike will count even more for you. There are other non financial benefits, which I'll let you discover for yourself.

How you can collect points?
  • 1 point/km on the bike (There is a cap at 150 points/ride)
  • 2 points/km running
  • 100 or 50points per completed challenge, such as run 30km in 1 month
  • 1point/$ spent on Purchases
  • Other such as recommended product, etc
--> Bellow I’ll focus on the first 3 bullet points, which are free

Second, there are 4 levels in the Adidas Creators Clubs, namely:
  • Level 1                     Challenger
  • Level 2                     Playmaker
  • Level 3                     Gamechanger
  • Level 4                     Icon
No spoilers here, I’ll let you discover what the various benefits are that you obtain at each level

Bellow are the 5 Steps, on how you can start climbing these levels at an incredible pace.
It took me less than 6 months to get from downloading the app, to “Icon” status (+10k points).
I’ll point out some pitfalls I fell into, to ensure you don’t let any more km’s go to waste

Step 1:
You start by downloading bellow 3 adidas apps where you can track and/or collect points.

Step 2:
You create an account in any of the apps and use the same login for the other apps
Pitfall 1:
Make sure that your country settings in all the apps is set as 1 and the same. A common mistake among expat athletes.
The country you set at the ‘Runtastic Running app’ is the country where you’ll be collecting the points, and with that, your benefits.
In my case as a Belgian, this time of writing, this is Singapore.
Note that Adidas at the time of writing doesn’t seem to have a global program and this is country specific.

Or this author simply couldn't figure out if there was one

Step 3:
You link the wearables or platforms you collect your mileage on to the adidas platform.
In my case this is Garmin & Zwift.
Pitfall 2:
Note that indoor runs and rides on Garmin don’t count for points, yet if you do them via Zwift, they do count.

Step 4:
Do your training as usual.
Once you complete your workout & recovery, check your “Adidas shop” account and watch your point counter go up

Step 5:
Maximize Challenges. Every month there will be several challenges in the “Runtastic Running” app. Make sure you join them. All you have to do is click join, the km’s get synched automatic. Upon completion, most challenges get you 50 or 100points.

There you have it. It’s as simple as counting to 5. I hope this helps all of you to some desired and deserved discounts.
Don't forget to "pass this forward" to your friends & fellow athletes
Wouldn't you think they'll appreciate this?
And maybe, just maybe, this might be what you need to "make the non-sexy sexy"
